Welcome Leo Everyone :)

Liam and I went to pick up Leo this weekend. He was in Indiana at Cheryl's house. It was so cool to be able to meet Cheryl and her husband too. Nanook is a bigger dog than I imagined. Leo was smaller than I pictured and has tons of energy! I've had to be strict, but Leo is a good puppy and learning. He did go potty outside this morning! I'm not sure he understands that I want him to go outside yet. He doesn't like the crate, but that's only for when there is no One at home.

This am he found snow at our house. He loves the sticks in the yard :). I take him on walks because he's full of lots of energy. Our favorite game is tug of war. Most of all, he's made me laugh more than I imagined. My son just loves him.

  1. What a small world it is really is! Cheryl and I have been blog friends for years now, and I have enjoyed so much her postings about the puppies, etc., and now you have one of them! Leo is a beautiful dog and I know you all will enjoy him. Are you related to Cheryl?

    1. Thanks Linda. No, I'm not related. I just think that Leo is so cute and so much fun. It really was great to be able to meet Cheryl. She's a wonderful lady and her husband is real nice too. I was exhausted from the 7 hour drive when I arrived and had to hurry off to get back before midnight. We arrived around 11:15 pm so it was a long day. Leo is a ball of energy and I'm getting ready to take him on another walk. It was great to see him born into such a loving family. We are showering Leo with lots of love. He really is quite funny. I call him my little 2 year old, LOL.

  2. How exciting! Cheryl and I have been blogging friends for years and years. I hope I get to meet her in person some day. It's so great that you got one of the puppies. I didn't put 2+2 together - duh! I know Leo will be happy with you and Liam. Having a puppy is a lot of work, but he will learn your ways and will soon fit right in. This is just so much fun! Bless you for driving 14 hours in a day to get him. Wow.

  3. It was wonderful getting to meet you and your son too in person. Your son is very nice and so polite too. You are a good Mom and a great friend to have & Leo is lucky to be in a loving home. I wish we had more time to visit. Who knows maybe someday we could meet together someplace for a meal or something on my way up to Northern MI.
    Enjoy Leo :) HUGS

    2. I would love that maybe we could work it out sometime in the summer if my husband travel through downstate. I love going across the Mackinac Bridge in the summer on my way home to Mom's

  7. Oh, a boy and his dog ... not sure much in life is more special. Good luck with Leo. Give him lots of socializing with other people and not too much rough housing or wrasslin' with the pup, because that can lead to problems when he gets older. Lots of walks and controlled exercise and lots of love ... that's the ticket to a happy dog.

    Enjoy ...

  9. We adopted a black cocker spaniel many years ago and bought him rubber toys to chew on. Manyof them had a little queaker insude.
It didn't take him long to figure out where it was located and then he promptly ripped it out.
